Background
Yellow Jersey was started by three brothers, Ryan, Grant and Scott — we have been successfully running our family-owned insurance brokers for over 15 years. As active members of the cycling and triathlon community we were frequently asked what the best way to insure bicycles was. We knew that cycle cover on home insurance wasn’t always sufficient, but we were never confident recommending any of the existing cycling-specific policies to friends who owned multiple bikes, trained and raced TTs, criteriums and triathlons, or who were looking to take their bikes abroad. We thought things could be better, so in 2014 we started Yellow Jersey.
Everyone at Yellow Jersey has a passion for two wheels. Whether it’s road, mountain bike, triathlon or commuting, this passion transfers into our day-to-day work. We know what cyclists need as we too have those needs. The first question we ask is ‘would we use it?’, the second is ‘is it good value?’
We know that cyclists want to be on the bike as much as possible and dealing with insurance is probably the last thing on their mind. It’s our vision give you more time to ride. We do this by making insurance as easy and stress-free as we can.
