Joining my local club helped me lose 6 stone, meet my wife and become an Ironman. It's fair to say cycling has truly changed my life.

Our Values

At Yellow Jersey, we are guided by a steadfast commitment to our core values, which serve as the foundation of everything we do. Rooted in our history and propelled by our vision for the future, our values define who we are and how we operate.

  1. Passion for Cycling: Our love for cycling runs deep and is ingrained in every aspect of our organisation. We are avid cyclists ourselves, understanding the exhilaration, challenges, and joys that come with every ride. This passion fuels our dedication to providing the best insurance solutions explicitly tailored for cyclists.
  2. Empathy and Understanding: Ten years ago, we recognised a gap in the insurance industry for cyclists—a gap born out of firsthand experiences and insights. We empathise with the needs, concerns, and aspirations of cyclists because we are cyclists. This empathy forms the bedrock of our understanding, shaping our offerings to resonate deeply with the cycling community.
  3. Innovation and Adaptability: Our journey began with a vision to revolutionise insurance for cyclists, and over the past decade, we have remained at the forefront of innovation. We embrace change, continuously evolving our offerings to meet the evolving needs of cyclists and the dynamic landscape of the cycling world. Through innovation, we strive to provide comprehensive, cutting-edge solutions that empower cyclists to pursue their passion with peace of mind.
  4. Integrity and Transparency: Trust is the cornerstone of our relationships—with our customers, partners, and the cycling community at large. We operate with unwavering integrity, upholding the highest ethical standards in all our interactions. Transparency is not just a principle but a promise—we communicate openly, honestly, and authentically, ensuring clarity and trust every step of the way.
  5. Community and Collaboration: Cycling is more than just a sport; it’s a vibrant community united by a shared love for the ride. At Yellow Jersey, we embrace this sense of community wholeheartedly, fostering collaboration and camaraderie among cyclists. We strive to be more than just an insurance provider—we are a partner, a supporter, and a friend to cyclists everywhere, standing by their side through every twist and turn of their cycling journey.
  6. Excellence and Reliability: We are committed to excellence in everything we do, from the quality of our products and services to the calibre of our customer support. Our goal is not just to meet expectations but to exceed them, consistently delivering exceptional value and reliability to our customers. With a steadfast focus on excellence, we aim to be the insurance provider of choice for cyclists, earning their trust and loyalty through every pedal stroke.

As we reflect on the journey that brought us here, we remain steadfast in our dedication to these values. They serve as our compass, guiding us forward as we continue to innovate, inspire, and empower cyclists around the world. Together, we ride towards a future where every cyclist can pursue their passion with confidence, knowing that Yellow Jersey is there to support them every step of the way.

Meet the Team

Ryan Georgiades Managing Director Ryan Georgiades

I’m the co-founder of Yellow Jersey. When I first joined my local club, the Clapham Chasers, in 2009 I was 20 stone and heading for a heart attack. Cycling and triathlon truly changed my life. Over the next six years I went on a journey which saw me lose six stone, get married to a club mate, have two children and become an Ironman. I’m currently training for nothing in particular and desperately trying not to get back to 20 stone.

I really hope you like what we are doing at Yellow Jersey, we are genuinely passionate about our sport and business.

Scott Georgiades Creative Director Scott Georgiades

I’m a self-confessed handlebar tape snob with an unrelenting fetish for bikes made of steel, aluminium, carbon and titanium. I have a varied Palmares that includes epic Pyrenean Raids from Biarritz to Barcelona, road races, sportives, duathlons, track camps and challenging charity tours throughout Europe.

My biggest achievement to date is the creation of ‘The Waller Pain’ urban hill climb – a unique event that sees national standard hill climbers, team and club riders go head to head with dads on mountain bikes, mums on shopping bikes and kids on balance bikes…This event truly smiles an all-inclusive spirit throughout the cycling community.

Grant Georgiades Director Grant Georgiades

Hi I am a ginger Greek, gluten free, cyclist. I’m a level two British Cycling coach, and until recently the chair of The Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome charity, which is a local venue extremely close to my heart.

I love being a member of Crystal Palace triathlon club and hope one day to be better than my two older brothers at both running and cycling!

Emily Conrad-Pickles Head of Marketing Emily Conrad-Pickles

The best thing I ever did was buy myself a bike back in 2011 and I’ve never looked back. I’ve dabbled in triathlon managing a few middle and standard distance GB Age Groups races and completed Ironman Zurich. My most recent cycling adventure was a 20,000km ride from London to Cape Town raising nearly £30k for World Bicycle Relief.

I don’t get much time on two wheels these days looking after a toddler however we’re keen to get a trailer and shall be planning some family cycle touring holidays very soon.

I oversee all of our marketing so if you’d like to chat to us about how we could work together, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.

Tom McMorrin Business Development Manager Tom McMorrin

I joined the team in 2017 from a city insurance job, looking for a new challenge. Yellow Jersey has been a great fit; cycling, business development and insurance. My focus is on improving the products & services we offer to our customers and businesses. If you want to discuss your insurance requirements for your business or want to include a value added offering, just pick up the phone. I’m always happy to chat.

Will Leedham Senior Marketing Executive Will Leedham

I wasn’t given the choice as to whether or not I wanted to get into cycling. My family bike shop (Leedham’s Leicester) was founded in the 1850’s, and to avoid bringing dishonour to my ancestors, took up the two wheels out of reluctant duty. That said I do head out for the odd spin and know rather a lot about bikes.

I take care of YJ’s digital marketing among other things. Ever noticed those ads that seem to follow you round the internet and all over Facebook? Yep, I’m that guy.

Stephen Booth Business Insurance Executive Stephen Booth

My initial day at Yellow Jersey involved signing up to my first triathlon and I haven’t looked back. I have previously dabbled in a bit of mountain biking, so it was a great fit to transition into a bit more of road biking. At moment, I’m saving up for a new bike!

I assist with the commercial insurance side of YJ, so you will no doubt be speaking with me if you are looking to insure your cycling event, bicycle shop or mobile mechanic business.

Nicola Hewitt Senior Customer Experience Advisor Nicola Hewitt

Chances are if you call us up it will be me you speak to! I’m a keen badminton player who enjoys baking and if I need some fresh air, I’ll head out for a country walk – maybe with a tea and cake stop on the way. There are 6 bikes in my household (it’s just myself and my husband) – but only one of them is mine.

I am definitely a leisure rider but I do enjoy getting out on my bike for shorter rides. Although I may not be the next Laura Kenny, living with a cycling enthusiast I understand the importance of having a working bike (or three) for the right occasion. I really enjoy helping our customers

Matt Fricker Web Developer Matt Fricker

Being Yellow Jersey’s resident developer, I am a complete sucker when it comes to tech. When I am not churning out code, I enjoy taking in the fresh countryside air from the comfort of my saddle; clad in lycra.

A fellow Clapham Chaser back in the day, I enjoyed a few triathlons and running events. Of late cycling and running have taken a back seat whilst I settle into my newly appointed role of dad at home.
